about

Sexy vocals, sexy rhythms and ideosyncratic deep house. SHOW-B & Thomas Herb ́s remix delivers a dirty drifty touch. For the women and their cool boys, too.

The Danish duo Classic VIV & Lawaetz aka Najaaraq Vestbirk and Jacob Lawaetz meet through their dj residency at the legendary Copenhagen club Dunkel Bar. Jacob, 26 years old, is a former jazz musician, now soon to be a doctor. Najaaraq, 24 years old, is currently studying at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, working as a music journalist and founder of the electronic music and radio platform Dunkel Radio. Najaaraq released the single Body & Soul on acknowledge label Noir Music in 2011, and both her and Jacob have released remixes of fellow countrymen, but this is their debut as the duo Classic VIV & Lawaetz.

SHOW-B & Thomas Herb can surely be ranked as Munich’s finest mixing talents when it comes to Housemusic in its truest sense. SHOW-B made some serious waves last year releasing EPs on the likes of Pokerflat and Delusions Of Grandeur (as PATTERN SELECT); while Thomas Herb is in high demand as the resident DJ of the Compost Black Label Sessions club night in Munich. These talented hosts of the beloved Compost Black Label Sessions radio show recently combined their creative forces and recorded a mind- bending three tracker together (Compost Black Label #85).
