Sarrass is a producer and liveact performer from Freiburg in the beautiful south-west of Germany.

He enjoyed more than fifteen years of musical education in trumpet and piano, playing classical concerts,
with jazz formations and bigbands.

Electronic music created entirely new sounds and ideas in his head when he first listened to Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream and the likes. The first techno and house records he discovered have been milestones for him, and he soon started to develop tracks with all kind of studio gear - using both analog and digital machines.

"I always try to express a deep, melancholic beauty with my sound, while going ahead with drums, sometimes leaving things behind and finding new borders", he says. "It always has to contain this emotional thing, which is more important to me than pure functionality, therefore I often stay at a very raw version of a track, keeping things open for the listener..."
